Welcome to Take a Chance Collectibles ("Take a Chance," "we," "our," or "us"). By purchasing products, participating in live openings, subscribing to the MVP Membership, or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Our Mission

Take a Chance Collectibles provides collectors a fun, socialy engaging, and entertaining way to purchase trading cards and sports cards through live and recorded pack openings.

2. Product Purchases & Break Participation

Take a Chance Collectibles offers several ways to purchase and participate in trading card openings, including individual products, packs, boxes, cases, and various types of card breaks.

Direct Product Purchases:

For products purchased for individual opening ("Just Rip It", “MVP”, or similar products), the customer purchases the specified unopened trading card product. Once the product has been assigned to the customer, all cards pulled from that product belong to the customer unless otherwise specifically stated in the product description.

Break Purchases:

For card breaks, customers purchase a designated spot, team, category, division, player, pack, type, or other allocation as specifically described in the individual break listing. The cards awarded to a customer through a break are determined by the rules of that specific break. These rules will be provided in the product description or otherwise communicated before the break begins.

Depending on the break format, cards may be assigned based on factors including, but not limited to:

  • Team

  • Player

  • Sport

  • League

  • Card type

  • Rarity

  • Pack or box position

  • Random assignment

  • Other criteria specifically identified in the break listing

Customers acknowledge that purchasing a break spot does not guarantee that the spot will receive a card or that a particular type, rarity, player, team, or value of card will be pulled.

If a break contains cards featuring multiple teams, players, or other entities, the method used to determine ownership will be specified in the individual break rules. If no specific rule is provided, Take a Chance Collectibles will use a reasonable and consistent method of assignment and will communicate that method to participants.

If a break is conducted with one or more spots remaining unsold, Take a Chance Collectibles may, at its discretion, retain the unsold spot(s) and any cards assigned to those spot(s), or designate the unsold spot(s) or corresponding cards as prizes in a giveaway conducted before the break begins. Any such decision will be made and communicated before the break begins. Once a break begins, ownership of cards will be determined solely according to the rules of that specific break, and Take a Chance Collectibles will not reassign cards from a sold spot.

General Product Acknowledgment:

Trading card openings and breaks involve an element of chance as described by the manufacturer. The contents of unopened packs, boxes, and cases are determined by the manufacturer, and Take a Chance Collectibles cannot control which cards are contained within a product.

Card values are never guaranteed. The purchase price of a product or break spot does not represent a guarantee of receiving cards of equal or greater market value.

Trading cards are collectibles, and their market values may fluctuate significantly. Take a Chance Collectibles makes no representation or guarantee regarding the current or future value of any card.

By purchasing a product or participating in a break, the customer acknowledges and accepts the applicable rules of that product or break and understands that the outcome of any unopened trading card product cannot be guaranteed.

3. Live & Recorded Openings

Products may be opened:

  • Live during livestreams

  • Recorded for YouTube

  • Recorded for social media

  • Recorded for customer requests

By purchasing a product to be opened, customers consent to the opening being recorded and publicly displayed.

Take a Chance Collectibles cannot guarantee the timing of any opening.

4. The Vault

Customers may choose to:

• Ship their cards

OR

• Leave their cards safely stored in their Take a Chance Vault.

Keeping cards in the Vault allows customers to combine multiple purchases into one shipment to reduce shipping costs.

Customers are responsible for requesting shipment of their Vault items.

Take a Chance Collectibles reserves the right to establish reasonable storage limits and may contact customers regarding long-term inactive Vaults.

5. Shipping

Shipping is not included with most purchases unless specifically stated.

Customers may:

  • Pay for shipping when ready.

  • Combine multiple orders.

  • Store purchases in their Vault.

Once a customer submits a shipping request, Take a Chance Collectibles will make reasonable efforts to process and ship the request as soon as practical. However, shipping requests are not guaranteed to be processed or shipped immediately. Processing times may vary depending on order volume, business operations, weekends, holidays, or other circumstances.

Take a Chance Collectibles will provide tracking information when available and will make reasonable efforts to communicate any significant delays.

Take a Chance Collectibles is not responsible for delays or damages caused by shipping carriers.

6. MVP Membership

The Take a Chance MVP (Monthly Video Posse) Membership is a recurring membership program designed to give collectors a fun and flexible way to participate in monthly pack openings.

MVP Members may choose between 1-Pack through 6-Pack Posse Membership levels, with the number of MVP Pack openings included each month corresponding to the selected membership level.

Membership benefits include:

  • Take a Chance MVP Pack Opening(s) Every Month — Receive the number of Take a Chance MVP Pack openings included with your selected Posse Membership level. Members may choose from eligible TCGs and sports offered by Take a Chance Collectibles, subject to product availability. Take a Chance Collectibles will make reasonable efforts to provide packs from the most recently released set available for the member's selected TCG or sport. However, the most recent set may not always be available or may be subject to market prices that make it impractical to include as part of the membership. Members who wish to receive a refund for that month's membership payment if the most recent set cannot be provided must notify Take a Chance Collectibles of this preference before the pack(s) for that month are purchased or opened. If no such preference has been communicated in advance, Take a Chance Collectibles may provide an available alternative set from the member's selected TCG or sport, and the member will not be eligible for a refund based solely on the substitution.

  • Choose Your Posse Level — Members may choose between the 1-Pack, 2-Pack, 3-Pack, 4-Pack, 5-Pack, or 6-Pack Posse Membership levels.

  • Monthly Giveaway Entries — Members receive one giveaway entry for each Take a Chance MVP Pack opened through their membership. The monthly giveaway product will be based on the winners TCG or Sport selected in their MVP Membership or AMOE, subject to product availability and the applicable Official Giveaway Rules.

  • One Free Shipping Request Per Month — Members receive one complimentary shipping request each month for eligible cards and products held in their Take a Chance Collectibles Vault.

Membership benefits, available products, price, and membership levels may be modified from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to members when reasonably practicable.

Unused MVP Free Shipping Requests or other unsed monthly membership benefits do not roll over to subsequent months.

Memberships may renew automatically according to the billing terms presented at the time of enrollment. Members are responsible for managing or canceling their membership before the next billing period if they do not wish to continue. Members can cancel their subscription by logging into the account section of the site. Members may also request help with a cancellation by emailing info@takeachancecollectibles.com with the subject line "MVP Membership Cancellation" and providing their full name, the YouTube shoutout name they provided with their membership, and the MVP Membership level they are currently enrolled in. Cancellation requests must be received before the next billing period to prevent the next membership charge.

7. Giveaways

From time to time, Take a Chance Collectibles may conduct promotional giveaways.

Where required by applicable law:

  • No purchase is necessary to enter.

  • A free alternative method of entry (AMOE) will be available.

  • Official Giveaway Rules will govern each promotion.

Winning a giveaway does not guarantee future prizes.

Employees and immediate family members may be excluded where required.

8. MVP Monthly Giveaway — Alternative Method of Entry

Take a Chance Collectibles provides an Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) for the MVP Monthly Giveaway. No purchase or MVP Membership is necessary to participate through the AMOE.

Eligible individuals may enter the MVP Monthly Giveaway by mailing a handwritten postcard containing the required information to the address designated in the Official Giveaway Rules.

Six-Entry Maximum:

Each eligible participant may receive a maximum of six (6) total entries per monthly giveaway period, regardless of whether the entries are obtained through MVP Membership participation, the AMOE, or a combination of both.

For purposes of the six-entry maximum:

  • Each eligible Take a Chance MVP Pack provides one (1) giveaway entry.

  • Each eligible AMOE postcard provides one (1) giveaway entry.

  • The maximum number of total entries for any individual is six (6) per monthly giveaway.

AMOE Requirements:

Each postcard must:

  • Be a standard postcard or postcard-sized mailing.

  • Be handwritten by the participant.

  • Clearly state that the participant wishes to enter the current MVP Monthly Giveaway.

  • Clearly state what TCG/Sport they would like their giveaway to come from.

  • Include the participant's full legal name.

  • Include a valid mailing address.

  • Include a valid email.

  • Be mailed separately and bear sufficient postage.

  • Be received by the applicable deadline for the giveaway period.

AMOE postcards may only be submitted to obtain entries that would not cause the participant to exceed the six-entry maximum for that monthly giveaway.

If additional AMOE postcards are received after a participant has reached the six-entry maximum, those additional postcards will be void and will not result in additional entries.

AMOE entries are subject to the same eligibility requirements and applicable Official Giveaway Rules as entries received through MVP Membership participation.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or MVP Membership does not increase an individual's maximum number of eligible entries. All participants are limited to a maximum of six (6) total entries per monthly giveaway.

Take a Chance Collectibles reserves the right to reject entries that are incomplete, illegible, late, duplicated, mechanically reproduced, or otherwise fail to comply with the Official Giveaway Rules.

9. MVP Free Shipping Request

Each MVP Membership includes one (1) complimentary shipping request per monthly membership period.

The complimentary shipping benefit covers the standard shipping method selected by Take a Chance Collectibles for the member's eligible Vault items. Take a Chance Collectibles will make reasonable efforts to use a cost-effective shipping method appropriate for the size and contents of the shipment.

The complimentary shipping benefit does not automatically include:

  • Shipping upgrades

  • Expedited shipping

  • Additional insurance beyond any standard coverage provided by the selected carrier

  • Signature confirmation

  • Special handling

  • Other optional shipping services or upgrades

If a member requests a shipping method, insurance, or other service that results in an additional cost beyond the standard shipping method selected by Take a Chance Collectibles, the member is responsible for paying the additional cost before the shipment is sent.

Members may combine eligible cards and products held in their Take a Chance Collectibles Vault into their monthly complimentary shipment, subject to reasonable package size, weight, and carrier limitations.

The complimentary shipping benefit is limited to one (1) shipment per monthly membership period and does not have a cash value. Unused shipping benefits do not roll over unless otherwise stated by Take a Chance Collectibles.

Take a Chance Collectibles is not responsible for delays, loss, damage, or other issues caused by the shipping carrier. Any additional insurance, signature confirmation, or upgraded shipping requested by the member is the member's responsibility.

Take a Chance Collectibles reserves the right to select the shipping carrier and standard shipping service used for complimentary shipments.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

Dirrect Product Purchase Cancellations & Refunds:

Products that have already been opened are not eligible for refunds.

Unopened products may be eligible for cancellation prior to opening, subject to processing fees and inventory status.

Break Spot Cancellations & Refunds:

Because card breaks are organized around a specific number of participants and the break may be scheduled or prepared based on the spots purchased, break spots are generally non-refundable once purchased. Allowing participants to cancel individual spots after a break has been substantially filled or prepared could disrupt the break, affect other participants, and prevent the break from proceeding as planned.

Customers should carefully review the break description, rules, and selected spot before completing their purchase.

Take a Chance Collectibles may, at its sole discretion, approve a cancellation or transfer of a break spot when circumstances allow. Any such exception is not guaranteed and does not establish a right to future cancellations or refunds.

If Take a Chance Collectibles is unable to conduct a break substantially as advertised, the company will determine an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund, replacement break, store credit, or other reasonable remedy.

MVP Membership Cancellations & Refunds:

Membership fees are generally non-refundable once monthly benefits have been delivered. Members may cancel their membership at any time according to the cancellation procedures outlined in Section 6 of these Terms. Cancellation will prevent future membership renewals but does not automatically entitle the member to a refund for a membership period in which benefits have already been provided.

11. Product Availability

Specific products may become unavailable without notice.

If a selected product cannot be fulfilled, customers may choose:

  • A comparable replacement

  • Store credit

  • Refund

12. Card Condition

Cards are manufactured by third-party companies.

Take a Chance Collectibles cannot guarantee:

  • Centering

  • Print quality

  • Surface quality

  • Corners

  • Factory defects

Any manufacturing defects remain the responsibility of the card manufacturer.

13. Market Values

Any discussion of card values, rarity, or potential grading is opinion only.

Market prices constantly change.

No investment return is guaranteed.

14. Customer Conduct

We strive to maintain a welcoming community.

Harassment, abusive language, fraud, chargeback abuse, or attempts to manipulate giveaways may result in:

  • Order cancellation

  • Membership termination

  • Removal from livestreams

  • Permanent account suspension

15. Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to:

  • Verify identity

  • Cancel suspicious orders

  • Refuse service

  • Limit purchases of high-demand products

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Take a Chance Collectibles shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from purchases, livestream participation, shipping delays, or use of our services.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

18. Acknowledgment

By purchasing products, becoming an MVP Member, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
