Take a Chance Collectibles

My TCG journey actually started back in the late 1990s and early 2000s when I dabbled in Pokemon and then really got into playing Magic. After college though, life got busy and I stepped away from trading card games for quite a while.

Then I had kids and as my kids got a little older, Disney Lorcana brought me back into the world of TCGs. I mostly play Lorcana at Set Championships, but I quickly discovered that I enjoyed more than just the competitive side of the hobby. The collector side really sucked me in, and before long, I found myself just as excited about completing sets and chasing cards as I was about playing the game.

My wife has always loved sorting and organizing things, so naturally, Lorcana gave us the perfect excuse to put that skill to work. We started collecting Lorcana master sets together, and before long, collecting cards had become something we could enjoy as a family.

I also met a great group of friends who love collecting just as much as I do. They are mostly into Pokemon and Baseball, but I've also always been a huge sports fan, so getting into sports cards was an easy transition. We started getting together every few months to open packs, chase big pulls, and enjoy all kinds of collectibles together. It became one of my favorite things to do.

But every few months wasn't enough lol.

I wanted to do this more often. I wanted to open more cards, chase more hits, share the excitement, and create a place where other people could enjoy that same feeling with us.

That's where Take a Chance Collectibles came from.

This channel is my excuse to turn something I already love doing with my family and friends into something I can do with other people a lot more often.
